Recently, Waze has integrated traffic lights into its platform, an addition that users have been eagerly anticipating for years. Now, it has announced the inclusion of cap notifications as one of its five new features.
According to 9to5GoogleWaze reported by email that will implement “innovative functions that will enrich the driving experience and provide additional data on road conditions.”
The email details the five new features that will be introduced in the next weeks, which may seem familiar to some.
Among the new features, the limit alert stands out, but it will also include notices about toll booths and sharp curves that require reducing speed due to their complexity.
Other notifications that Waze will implement are the emergency vehicle warningsallowing drivers to know in advance of its presence to safely reduce speed and avoid risks on the road.
These updates will initially be released in the United States, Mexico, Canada and France, and will later be extended to other countries.
Furthermore, another of the alerts will be decreased speed limits in certain areas, so that drivers are informed in advance and avoid sudden braking that could cause wear on the brakes and tires.
Waze is also about improve navigation on roundaboutsproviding guidance on which lane to use, especially in heavy traffic situations.
Likewise, Waze will learn from users’ route preferences over time and will suggest them as first options, offering faster alternatives in case of heavy traffic.
Some of these features were previously announced by Waze about two years agoand although some have already been gradually rolled out in certain regions, many are still relatively unknown in the daily use of Waze by many drivers.
Now, Waze has confirmed that all of these features will be rolling out this month, although they won’t be available to all users right away.
In fact, many users have already started to notice some of these features in recent weeks, so this email confirms the general rollout to help better manage speed bumps and be prepared for the presence of emergency services on the roads.
